Jess Goldschmidt is a writer and choreographer living in Brooklyn. Her performance work has been curated and produced at venues across New York City, including Center for Performance Research, Dixon Place, Ars Nova, Movement Research@Judson Church, Standard Toykraft, and Le Petite Versailles. Frequent collaborators include Chris Tyler, Tall Women in Clogs, and Millie Kapp.

Jess has written for Philadelphia magazine, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Guernica, and some zines, and her writing has been developed through Abrons Art Center, Arena Stage, Clubbed Thumb, and the Millay Colony. She studied Literary Arts and Performance Studies at Brown University, and will forever be indebted to the teaching of Erik Ehn, Patricia Ybarra, Rebecca Schneider, Miguel Gutierrez, and Thomas F. DeFrantz.
